How much maintenance does a bocce court need?

A properly built court needs periodic brushing or dragging to redistribute the surface, light watering to keep a shell or DG surface binding, and an annual topdressing to replace displaced fines. Keep the drainage gap under the side boards clear and reseal hardwood boards every few years. Courts that demand constant re-leveling were built without a leveling course or without proper compaction — that is a construction issue, not a maintenance one.
